Griffin Takes Down Full Tilt Heads-Up Championship
Ashton Griffin, 20, from Minnesota West Community and Technical College tallied a career-altering win this past weekend, winning the Full Tilt $25,000 buy-in Heads-Up Championship for a $551,250 pay day.
The 63-man field drew a plethora of top-name professionals, including Phil Ivey, Gavin Smith, Andy Bloch, Tom Dwan, Erik Lindgren, Toto Leonidas, John Juanda, David Pham, Phil Galfond, defending champion David Singer, and many more.
Griffin, who goes by the screen name “theASHMAN103″ defeated David Benefield in his final match to take home the top prize. He recently sat down for a Q&A with Minnesota Poker Magazine, and that feature article will appear in the July issue.
Griffin is currently back in his home town of Lake Worth, Florida for the summer.
