Running Aces draws 539 players for $1,000 Freeroll
Running Aces Harness Park launched a $1,000 freeroll in March and last night drew an astonishing 539 players. “Players were lined up out the door.” Tournament Director Manessah Kunkel stated.
This was the 2nd freeroll this month, last week’s drew 373 players. The tournament is scheduled for each Monday in March beginning at 6:00PM, registration opens at 4:30PM.
The freeroll of course is free, Running Aces contributes $1,000 to the prize pool. There is an optional $10 add-on, a portion of that goes to the prize pool as well. Players start with 2,000 in tournament chips and receive an additional 3,000 with the add-on. The rounds are 15 minutes in length.
Last night’s winner took home $885. The winner in the inaugural freeroll on March 1 pocketed $700. Running Aces pays the top 20 places each Monday. And if that weren’t sweet enough, Aces provides $1 tap beers and $2 cheeseburgers as well.
During next week’s Monday Night freeroll, the Minnesota State Poker Tour and Minnesota Poker Magazine will be on hand to give away a free $250 Qualifier seat to the MSPT event at Running Aces taking place April 7-11. For more MSPT details, see www.MinnesotaStatePokerTour.com
