3:25 PM Update: Unfortunately the exciting run of Blake Bohn through the WSOP Main Event has come to an end. It looked promising early when he doubled up right after play had started on Day 6.
Bohn got a table change and was moved into the BB, his 3rd BB in 10 hands to cut into his stack. On the last hand he was under-the-gun with JJ and a 700K stack. Bohn opened for 60K. The button is a player knows personally, had just lost a pot and made it 160K. Bohn thought he was steaming and was using their friendship against him so he shoved his JJ. His opponent calls with KK, the flop was AAK and that was it.
Bohn placed 127 of 6,865 entrants for $54,851. Congratulations to Blake for a well played Main Event!
Sun, 2:15 PM Update: Kaboom! Play just got underway here on Day 6 and Blake Bohn has already made his move! Bohn doubles up with AK > 33 and is now up to 1.1 Million!!
1:45 AM Update: The WSOP is that much funner to watch when you’ve got someone to root for. Last year it was Jason Senti, this year its Blake Bohn. Bohn got a sweet opportunity this evening to play on ESPN with one of his all-time favorite players, Allen Cunningham.
As mentioned earlier, ESPN didn’t show the nice pot Bohn took down. Cunningham open-button-reraised and Bohn shoved QQ. The other two hands Blake played at the featured table were Jd10d and AcJc. He admits it took some time to get use to the lights and all but was happy to survive after being down to 300K at one point.
Sensational run for Bohn so far! He’s one of the shorter stacks at 539K but still plenty of play. He’s got a great shot at it.
12:50 AM Update: Bohn ended Day 5 with 539K. When play resumes Sunday the blinds will be 12K/24K, 3K ante. 142 players remain. Unfortunately ESPN didn’t show the nice pot Bohn won while at the Featured Table during the tv broadcast. Players will be back Sunday at 2:00 PM Central Time for Day 6!! Fun to watch!

Saul is known for his online nickname “BeL0WaB0Ve” on sites such as PokerStars, Bodog and UltimateBet. Saul became better known outside the online poker community in 2007 when he won the World Poker Tour (WPT) Bellagio Cup III Championship after defeating Mike Matusow during heads-up play, earning him the first place prize of $1,342,320.
“My heart was racing a bit,” Bohn said. “He just tweeted about it on break. Not sure what he had, my read was he was weak. I only had JJ.”

Bohn is no stranger to being in this position. He cashed in last year’s WSOP $10K Main Event as well, placing 722 for $19,263. Bohn also finished 5th in the Chicago Poker Classic in March for $47K so there’s no doubt he’s on top of his game and determined to improve on his 2010 WSOP cash.
Bohn and Blackwell are both in good shape heading in to Day 4 which will resume later today. Bohn grinded a short-stack for a couple of days before catching fire, he now sits at 306,500.
