Kou Vang wins Big Stack Avalanche Tournament

Kou Vang does it again!  Just one month after winnning the Bluff Mid-States Poker Tour event at Canterbury Park by besting a field of 230 players for $64,465, Vang rolls through a 218-entrant field in the Big Stack Avalanche Touranment at Running Aces Harness Park for $26,544!

Vang is definitely the hottest player in the state right now.  He earned the January cover of Minnesota Poker Magazine for his December.  He was also voted Favorite Male Player and Person you most don’t want on your left in the MNPokerMag Reader’s Choice Awards.

The Big Stack Avalanche Tournament was a great success and generated a much larger field than anticipated.  For the first several levels, a line of alternates stretched through the casino as players waited for an open seat.  The buy-in was $450+$50, 20K starting stack and 40-minute levels.
