Slim Defeat For MN Racino Bill

On Monday, March 19, the Minnesota Senate voted down gaming legislation which called for racino expansion. The entire bill was voted down at a close count of 8-5.

A report on minnpost.com has stated that the bill had been amended earlier to include a referendum which would have consulted residents of the proposed expansion areas — Canterbury Park in Shakopee and Running Aces Harness Park in Columbus.
