BLUFF MSPT Announces New Oklahoma Tour Stop

In its mission to bring deep-stack structures and affordable buy-ins to more players and additional hosting sites across the country, the Mid-States Poker Tour has partnered with one of the premiere casinos in the south, Downstream Casino Resort

The first Mid-States Poker Tour stop at Downstram Casino will take place September 28 – October 7, 2012. A second has already been set for March 8-17, 2013.

The MSPT is fresh off consecutive record events at Running Aces Harness Park in Columbus, MN and Meskwaki Casino in Tama, Iowa.

The MSPT recently set the Running Aces record in February when 311 players took their shot at huge cash. Rodger Johnson flew back to Grand Forks, North Dakota with $80K. The MSPT then set the Meskwaki Casino attendance record by drawing 349 entrants. In the end, Muneer Ahmed held the RF Moeller Diamond Championship Bracelet with pride next to his $90K pile of cash. The first two stops of Season 3 combined for almost 2,600 entrants vying for $660K in prize pool money.

The MSPT has its sites set on a third straight location attendance record next month at Northern Lights Casino in Walker, MN, May 5-20.

The MSPT Main Event is a $1,000+$100 buy-in, no-limit hold’em tournament. The Main Event consists of multiple Day 1 flights and is broadcast LIVE worldwide using RFID technology which allows viewers at home to see the hole cards.

Players may direct-buy to the Main Event or take their shot at big money for as little as $45 (may vary by location).

The two-day Main Event at Downstream will begin Friday, October 5 and conclude Sunday, October 7 with satellites and qualifying rounds beginning Friday, September 28.

In addition to top-notch tournaments, Downstream also offers a variety of the most popular games, including Limit and No-Limit Texas Hold’em, Seven Card Stud, Omaha and mixed games.
