Ed Janezich Wins SPC Event #5, $12,432
Ed Janezich of Minneapolis recorded the victory late Saturday night in the SPC $450+$50 buy-in NLHE Event #5. Janezich was the last person standing in a 78-entrant field paying him $12,432. He also earned a Fly-in Fishing Trip that Running Aces added to first place.
MNPokerMag Player of the Year leader Erick Wright added to his state-leading point total by placing 4th for $2,755.
Players will have a full slate to choose from for action on Sunday. The day kicks off with a $45 tournament at 10:30AM. Aces will be adding another $1,100 Main Event seat to first place in that event.
At 3PM, there will be a $120 Main Event Qualifier, the top 10% advance to the SPC Main Event.
To round off the day, a $125 NLHE tournament will take place at 6PM.

Why are numbers so low for the series so far? I would have thought they would have gotten 100 + for this event. Are players saving their roll for the purported HPT million dollar prize pool?
