2012 WSOP Update – MN Perspective

John “johnnyGStaks” Hayes of St. Paul is one of nine players remaining in WSOP Event #49 – $1,500 Ante Only NLHE – for a shot at a bracelet!  939 entrants took their shot in this event, they are down to the final table of 9.  All players are guaranteed $18,292 at this point.  First place is $256,691.

Hayes is 7th in chips with 229,000, antes are at 6,000, there are no blinds.  Play will resume today at 1PM (PST)

    Seems like a cool format/structure and nice change of pace. It would be cool if occasionally there were ante only tournaments around here.
