2012 WSOP Update – MN Perspective
Jason Senti is in the hunt again, he has two WSOP cashes already this summer in Events #23 & #38. He’s now in the money in Event #57 – $10,000 NLHE / 6-handed. There were initially 474 runners, the field is down to 27 when play resumes later today. 1st place is a cool $1,136,197. All players are guaranteed $29,406 at this point. Good luck to Senti!
Ryan Laplante of Brainerd picked up another WSOP cash as well. He just placed 37th of 526 entrants in Event #58 – $3,000 PLO Hi-Low Split-8 or better. This time Laplante picked up $6,778.
In Event #59 – $1,500 NLHE – Day 1A (no re-entry on Day 1B) was Wednesday, there were 1,740 entrants and they played down to 256 (approx 15% of the field). Bryan Mileski was the lone-Minnesotan to advance to Day 2. Day 1B is Thursday, the field will be combined on Friday for Day 2. The top 10% get paid.
At the Venetian, David Cooper of St. Louis Park placed 18th of 1,046 players in Deep Stack Event #42 – $600 NLHE – to earn $4,017. Shane Crelly of Minneapolis finished 46th in the same event for $2,117. Andrew Redleaf of Minneapolis placed 16th in Deep Stack Event #42 – $600 NLHE – he took home $1,771 for his efforts.
