Poker News MSPT Running Aces – Day 1B

Day 1B at the Running Aces MSPT was all action, with great players at the featured table, a boisterous group of players, and action everywhere.

The chip leader at the end of Day 1B was Tony ‘Two Putts’ Phaysith who will start tomorrow with 204,300 and the day 2 chip lead. Other notables who made Day 2 include reigning champ James Gibson, Minnesota Player of the Year Erick Wright, Robby Westrom, Muneer Ahmed, Sam Hanson, Tom Hammers, Kou Vang, and a record eight women. 

A huge field of 206 players started Day 1B, generating a total starting field of 367 players. 77 Players finished the day, and when combined with the Day 1A field of 51, the starting field of day 2 will consist of 128 players.

The addition of a feature table being streamed with hole cards to viewers at home during Day 1B action was a big hit as many tuned in to watch Andy Redleaf, Todd ‘Sharkslayyer’ Breyfogle, Leo Fossy, our most recent champ James Gibson and several others do battle.

Day 2 action gets underway on Sunday at 10AM (CST).
