Minnesota players have now cashed for $701,655 at this year’s WSOP.  DJ Buckley, Tracy Nguyen and Tom Stambaugh have advanced to Day 3 of the $1500 Monster Stack.

Congrats to Christian Pham for taking down Event #23: $1500 NL 2-7 Draw Lowball! Pham earns his first WSOP bracelet and $81,314 for defeating a 219-runner field.

Word on the street is that Christian Pham accidentally registered for the wrong event, entering Event #23 – 2-7 Draw Lowball.  Supposedly Pham had never played 2-7.

Nick Welu and David Gonia have advance to Day 2 and the final 100/1000 in the $1500 NLHE Shootout.  Each of them are guaranteed $5,413 and chasing the $283,546 up top!

MN players recorded a few more cashes over the last 24 hours.  Ben Holguin of Edina earned his first career WSOP cash and $6,076 for his 21/660 finish in Event 11 – $1500 LHE.
